At the invitation of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), IFANCA attended the 5th Halal Certification Bodies Convention in Malaysia December 10-12, 2013. Dr. Muhammad Munir Chaudry, President, and Dr. Javed Rashid, Auditor, attended the three-day convention which discussed the Halal Assurance System and featured the launching of the Halal Verified Engine (HVE) system. The HVE system is to be implemented by all certifiers recognized by JAKIM by 2015.
